Recipient Company Achievements
Korefumi Tashiro National Traffic Safety and Environment Laboratory Since 2002, Mr. Tashiro has participated in international standardization activities for IEC/TC9 (Electrical Equipment and Systems for Railways).

He has also led the standardization of IEC/TC9/WG44 (Environmental Conditions) since 2007 and IEC/TC9/MT60571 (Electronic Equipment used on Railway Vehicles) since 2008 through service as a convenor.

In addition, he has contributed to improving the competitiveness of outstanding Japanese railway technologies through participation in the development of standards as an international expert member of five working groups (WGs), etc.

Tetsuo Fujita East Japan Railway Company Since 2007, Mr. Fujita has contributed to the establishment of international standards reflecting high-level Japanese railway technologies, including service as a secretariat member of the Japanese National Mirror Committee for IEC/TC9 (Electrical Equipment and Systems for Railways) and as an international expert for IEC/TC9/WG44 (Environmental Conditions) and IEC/TC9/PT62486 (Technical Criteria for the Interaction between Pantograph and Overhead Line), etc.
