Mr. Koseki proposed the first Japanese New Work Item Proposal (NP) within the railway field about the short-stator type linear induction motor drive system, which is used in maglev and linear-motor subway, using his knowledge of research and development on the system in IEC/TC 9 (Electrical equipment and systems for railways).
He has also assumed the office as the leader of the international Project Team (PT) and has taken initiative to issue IEC 62520.
He has also contributed to international standards deliberation in the area of IEC/TC 77 Electromagnetic Compatibility.
