Recipient Company Achievements
Keiichi Kamata Toshiba Corporation Over many years, Mr. Kamata has worked in IEC/TC 9/WG 43 "Train Communication Network (TCN)" to internationally standardize Ethernet communication for rolling stock, which is widely used in Japan. He has acted as secretary to pull together the national opinion as well as incorporate Japan’s view in his role as an expert, contributing to standard publication.

Mr. Kamata also acted as secretary in the Japanese mirror working group of onboard multimedia standards and expert for IEC/TC 9/WG 46.
Takeshi Kurita East Japan Railway Company Over many years, from the position of a railway operator, Mr. Kurita has actively participated as an international expert on current collection system such as pantograph in IEC/TC 9, contributing by implementing Japan's views.

Mr. Kurita has also contributed to standardization as a member of the JIS drafting committee related to pantograph and vehicle exterior noise.
Akira Shioiri Nippon Sharyo, Ltd. Over many years, Mr. Shioiri has worked as a member of the working group for RAMS related standards, and from the position of a rolling stock manufacturer made great endeavors in drafting standards, contributing to their publication.

Mr. Shioiri has also brought up many valuable viewpoints based on his experience, contributing to the establishment of certification bodies.
Kunio Sugiyama Mitsubishi Electric Corporation Over three years, Mr. Sugiyama worked as rapporteur and convenor in the international working group for "Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems for rolling stock" standard, which was proposed from Japan. Along with leading development of international standards, he contributed to consolidation of Japan’s views as a project leader in the Japanese mirror working group.
Hitoshi Hayashiya East Japan Railway Company Over five years, Mr. Hayashiya has contributed to the incorporation of Japan's views, playing an active role as an international expert in IEC/TC 9/AHG 2 and many other power supply related fields.

He has also contributed to standardization as a member of the Japanese mirror working groups related to power supply as well as the JIS drafting committee.
Yasushi Yokosuka Hitachi, Ltd. Over many years, Mr. Yokosuka has contributed to standardization by expressing many valuable opinions while working as a member of the JIS drafting committee and the Japanese mirror working groups.

He also made contributions to establishing certification bodies related to signalling and power supply equipment as a member of sub-working group (SWG).

Hirotaka Takahashi Hitachi, Ltd. Over three years, Mr. Takahashi took a role in incorporating proposals from Japan as a member of the Japanese mirror working group for traction transformers as well participating as an international expert in IEC/TC 9/PT 62924.

He also had a hand in establishing certification bodies as a member of sub-working group for establishment of certification bodies and is expected to contribute even more in the future.
Shinichi Nakazawa Railway Technical Research Institute Over two years, Mr. Nakazawa has taken a role in incorporating proposals from Japan as an expert for "railway braking" standard in ISO/TC 269.

In Japan, he has worked as the project leader in working groups and as a member of the working group on railway brake for JRIS standards, has worked in forming these standards. He can be expected to contribute even more in the future.
Shinya Mashimo West Japan Railway Company Over many years, Mr. Mashimo has contributed to international standards participating in the working group on RAMS related standards, deliberating on the contents of RAMS standards, pulling together comments and opinions.

Nationally, he has held RAMS study meetings working to spread knowledge and understanding of these standards. He can be expected to contribute even more in the future.
Satoshi Murakami The Nippon Signal Co., Ltd. Over three years, Mr. Murakami has contributed working as a member of the Japanese mirror working group for railway control software and worked on the preparation of Japan's written opinion for the revision of IEC 62279.

Also, as an assistant member in the UGTMS working group and the investigative working group for revision of the RAMS standard, he has worked diligently in international standardizing activity and is expected to contribute even more in the future.
