Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS) are Japanese national standards on industrial products. The contents of JIS are deliberated upon by the Japanese Industrial Standards Committee (JISC), and established by the ministers in charge of various departments, and published by the Japanese Standards Association (JSA).

Railway related standards have identification numbers beginning with the letter E (e.g. JIS E 1101).
